US$ 6,990 per person sharing (plus US$ 800 Gorilla Permit per person)

From the white water of the River Nile, to the large elephants of Murchison Falls, to the Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – this is Uganda, the Pearl of Africa!  Follow the Nile River on this journey to Africa’s most beautiful country, in search of elephants, lions, zebra, giraffe, buffalo — and Mountain Gorillas !

July 24, 25 (2026): Flight to Entebbe, Uganda

Your international flight takes you to Entebbe, Uganda (arriving July 25).  Upon arrival, Dr. Ryan Snider will welcome you at the airport, before driving you to the nearby Karibu Guesthouse on the shores of Lake Victoria.

July 26, 27: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, we will transfer to the Entebbe airport for our flight (included) over the green rolling hills to the town of Kisoro, Uganda.  Upon arrival our drivers will collect us and drive us into the world-famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where we will check into the Gorilla Leisure Lodge.   After lunch, we will enjoy an ‘acclimatization hike’ to help us break-in our hiking boots and get used to the high (7000 feet above sea level) altitude.

The next morning (27th), get up early for breakfast, and then drive to the briefing point for our Gorilla Trek.  Considered to be one of the most exhilarating travel experiences in the world, coming face to face with a Silverback gorilla is truly unforgettable.  We will begin our trek at the bottom of the misty hills, slowly ascending into the Rainforest for a life changing hour with these precious primates.   Spend the two nights at the eco-award winning Gorilla Leisure Lodge at the gate of the Park.

(note:  For those not interested in Gorilla Trekking, there will be other activities (eg. hiking, village visit, school visit, shopping, etc. instead)

July 28, 29, 30: Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, drive back to the Kisoro airstrip in time to catch your flight (included) to Murchison Falls National Park.  Your drivers will then collect you and drive you along the River Nile to Papa’s Tented Camp where we will stay the next three nights.  Papa’s Camp is nestled among beautiful Fig trees on the south bank of the River Nile.  Named after Ernest ‘Papa’ Hemingway who nearly lost his life after two plane crashes in the area, Papa’s Camp offers a spectacular wildlife experience that one can enjoy almost exclusively in untouched surroundings – full of lions, buffalo, giraffe, and many different antelope species such as Jackson’s hartebeest, waterbuck, Ugandan kob, and many more.   Enjoy game drives in the open savannah, and a boat cruise among the hippos on our way to the bottom of the magnificent Murchison Falls.  Winston Churchill was standing right at the base of the Falls, when he first proclaimed Uganda as “the Pearl of Africa”.

July 31, Aug 1:  Jinja on the Nile

After a final morning game drive, your drivers will drive you in 4×4 Landcruisers south along the River Nile through tiny Uganda towns and villages to the picturesque town of Jinja, where we will spend the next two nights at an island lodge located in the heart of Grade 5 white water rapids!  Spend the next two days relaxing by the river, going into Jinja town for local crafts, or volunteering on a community development project that distributes much needed Family Kits (eg. mosquito nets, soap, blankets, water jugs, and wash basins) to members from the surrounding community that have been identified as extremely needy.   Overnight at Wildwaters Lodge.
